THE HEART OF ITA plan that moves with you
You want a plan for your creative practice—something that doesn’t just rely on inspiration or good intentions—but plans have let you down before.
Maybe because you made a big New Year plan. But there’s a lot of time inside a year to lose the plot.
Annualized thinking is one of the traps of productivity culture: the belief that we should be able to make a plan for an entire year and then make it happen in a linear way with sustained energy and unwavering focus.
But the version of you making plans in January isn’t the same person trying to meet them in November. Things shift. We shift.
Or maybe you accidentally overreached and made a beautiful plan for your ideal life, not your real life. So when you couldn’t keep up, it felt like you’d failed.
Another trap is the idea that if we care enough and are devoted enough, we should be able to push through changing circumstances, competing demands, and shifts in capacity and still get everything done.
But creative practice doesn’t actually work that way.
That’s why the Seasonal Reset offers a different rhythm: four chances throughout the year to pause, reflect, recalibrate, and carry on.
This is a threshold ritual between the seasons—a way of
stepping out of productivity culture’s timelines and entering
the next season with a plan that can move with you
through disruption, change, and fluctuating capacity.
A guided reflection and planning session for your creative practice that centres around a 90-minute one-to-one Zoom session
WHAT THIS ISThere’s no need to arrive at the Seasonal Reset with everything figured out. It’s designed to help you pause, take stock, and begin the season with more clarity and a grounded sense of what’s actually possible and what matters most.
Curious what a Seasonal Reset is actually like?
HOW THIS UNFOLDSHere's how our time together will unfold.
-
You’ll fill out a short intake form so I can get to know a little about you and your creative practice before we begin. Once I receive your payment, your spot will be confirmed.
You’ll then receive The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner in the mail and will spend some time working through the workbook portion before we meet.
The workbook includes ten not-too-scary exercises designed to help you put the last season to bed and prepare the ground for what’s next. You’ll reflect on things like your personal rhythms, capacity, challenges, places you want to grow, and how you want to feel when you’re in practice.
Most people complete the workbook over a few quiet hours or across several smaller sessions.
-
We’ll meet and together we’ll reflect on the season that’s ending and explore what feels doable, meaningful, and alive for the one ahead.
We’ll talk about your projects and intentions and shape those into cultivations—a more humane alternative to goals that aren’t output-driven and won’t overextend you.
There’s also room to talk through questions, sticking points, or places where you feel unsure how to move forward.
-
I’ll be listening for where your expectations and your actual circumstances aren’t lining up, where your practice may still be built for a life you aren’t actually living, and where pressure, perfectionism, or self-criticism may be shaping the way you approach your work.
Often, that means gently naming things that aren’t neutral—where productivity culture, internalized expectations, or external pressures are shaping the way you interpret your work, your pace, or yourself.
I’m not interested in helping you extract more from yourself. I’m interested in helping you shape a creative practice that can actually meet your life.
-
After the session, I’ll send you your cultivations along with any resources I mentioned during our conversation.
From there, you can continue working with the planner independently throughout the season, supported by:
a seasonal structure (long enough for things to take shape, not so long that you lose the plot)
three small, adaptable core practices (so you can stay in it)
and other helpful frameworks (to ground and support your practice)
WHAT SHIFTSMany people leave a Seasonal Reset with:
relief around making things doable without abandoning what matters to them
a more humane and inhabitable set of cultivations for the season ahead
greater awareness of where productivity culture has been shaping their expectations
a stronger understanding of their rhythms, patterns, and capacity
more confidence about what this season is actually asking of them
a sense that the next few months have a shape to move within
Instead of asking one version of yourself to plan for the whole year,
you begin working one season at a time—long enough for things to take shape,
short enough that you can adjust before life asks something different of you.
WHO THIS IS FORThis will be an especially good fit if:
you’re curious about working seasonally and want a gentle place to begin
you’re trying to establish a creative practice—or find your way back to one
you’re carrying too many ideas, projects, or expectations at once
you already know you’re overreaching and want help making things more doable
you’re feeling a bit wobbly about what’s ahead and want the next few months to have more shape
you’ve taken The Tending Sessions before and want to recalibrate without the full offering this time
you’re already working with The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner and want more support putting it into practice
This is not a fit if:
you’re looking for strict accountability or output-driven systems
you want craft critique, business coaching, or optimization strategies
An investment in setting yourself up for a season that's both meaningful and doable
INVESTMENTAutumn Season: $195 CAD

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. All bookings are non-refundable.
I understand that life—and energy—can be unpredictable, and that chronic illness, disability, and other unexpected circumstances don’t always give us that much warning. If something unexpected happens, please reach out as soon as you’re able. I’ll do my best to meet you with care and flexibility on a case-by-case basis.
I ask that this flexibility be used in good faith.
INTAKEIf you’re ready to begin the next season with a little more shape and a little less pressure, this is the next step
You’ll start by filling out a short intake form and suggesting a few possible dates and times that work for you. From there, I’ll confirm a session time (or suggest alternatives if needed).
Please note: the Seasonal Reset is offered during a small seasonal window four times a year, around the beginning of each seasonal quarter.
Because the planner is mailed out ahead of time, it’s best to book early enough to receive it and complete the workbook before we meet.
