THE HEART OF IT

A creative practice you can stay in

You want a steady creative practice—but can’t seem to sustain one, aren’t sure what that looks like, or feel like what you’ve been doing isn’t quite working.

Not because you’re not serious.
Not because you lack devotion.
But because you haven’t been shown a way that actually works with your life.

Most approaches to creative practice are shaped by productivity culture—they assume stable energy, predictable time, and more capacity than most of us have.

So what happens?

You make a plan → it works for a while → life changes → you fall off → and getting back feels heavier than it should.

Or: You push to stay consistent → override your limits → and eventually burn out or stop entirely.

It becomes harder to trust your own rhythm—and harder to trust yourself.

So you end up spending more time feeling bad about not being in your practice than actually being in it—avoiding your practice while also longing for it.

That’s a hard cycle to stay stuck in.

This isn’t more of that.

It’s a structured but flexible way of staying close to your creative practice—even when life is life-ing.

Here, we don’t focus on consistency; we focus on return.
Instead of trying to eliminate disruption, you learn to find your way back.

You and I meet on Zoom every other week across the season

WHAT THIS IS

The sessions follow a simple rhythm centred around three things:

  • what you’ve been tending

  • what you’d like to offer into the conversation

  • what you’d like to explore

The sessions are conversational, with thoughtful guidance and input from me.

There’s also an introductory session that takes a different shape—your ninety-minute Seasonal Reset.

Because we stay in conversation across the season, you're not starting from scratch every time. That continuity makes it easier to notice what's actually helping, what's getting in the way, and where you're being harder on yourself than you need to be.

Choosing between the group and one-to-one Tending Sessions?

Both versions follow the same seasonal structure and use the same core practices.

The group version offers a shared rhythm, witnessing and being witnessed, and input from multiple perspectives.

The one-to-one version offers pacing shaped entirely around your life, more focused, in-depth conversation, and a quieter, private container.

If you’re wanting a shared space and collective energy, the group may be a better fit.

If you’re wanting something more tailored, spacious, or responsive, the one-to-one version may suit you more.

Curious what participation actually looks like?

HOW THIS UNFOLDS

Here's what we'll be doing together. Required reading for those who like to know what they're getting into.

WHAT CHANGES

Over each season, people I work with begin to notice:

  • they become less adversarial toward themselves and their creative practice

  • they spend less time worrying about their practice—and more time being in it

  • they become better observers of their own patterns, rhythms, and capacity

  • they experience fewer all-or-nothing swings between pushing and disappearing

  • they return sooner after interruptions, illness, dips, and other setbacks

  • they develop a wider, more flexible understanding of what counts as creative practice

  • they stop treating creativity as something they have to earn

  • their practice becomes more right-sized for their actual life

  • their relationship with their work becomes steadier, more resilient, and easier to trust

And then the work begins to move. Ideas take shape. Some things get finished.
Other things keep ripening. And work finds its way into the world.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This will be an especially good fit if:

  • You care deeply about your creative practice, but staying connected to it feels harder than you'd like.

  • You often feel like you're falling behind—even when you're actively engaged with your work.

  • You're tired of cycling between pushing hard and disappearing for stretches of time.

  • Life keeps changing, and you're looking for a way of practicing that can change with it.

  • You want support, companionship, and structure—but not pressure.

This is not a fit if:

  • You're primarily looking for craft instruction or critique.

  • You want strict accountability, optimization strategies, or output-driven systems.

  • You're looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do.

INVESTMENT

You’re not just investing in the sessions

You’re investing in the chance to spend an entire season developing a creative practice that can survive real life.

For many creators, this replaces the cycle of starting over and offers a reliable way back to the work.

Autumn Season: $470 CAD

Payment due in full after acceptance via e-transfer or PayPal.

If you’ve already bought a planner, you’ll receive a credit in its place.

Please Note
Your spot isn't guaranteed until a payment has been received.

INTAKE

If this feels like the kind of support you're looking for, this is the next step.

This is a carefully held one-to-one offering. For many participants, it becomes something they return to season after season because of how it changes the way they approach their work and the rhythms they build around it.
